BackstageProbably the most read weekly for actors in the U.S. Backstage always has interesting career related stories and a pretty decent section of casting info.
VarietyAs the headline says, Variety is called the 'Bible' of Show Business. Daily (in Hollywood) is filled with news of production and biz. Very little casting info.
Hollywood ReporterThe Hollywood Reporter is also a daily trade paper (in Hollywood). Lots of news about production and other biz related info. Very little casting info.
Ross ReportsRegularly publishes small booklets with contact lists of agents, casting directors, production companies and other special publications. See selection on web.
Show Business WeeklyNew York based weekly is filled with information about what's going on in town, career tips, and a good selection of what's casting.
The StageUK's most popular and influential actor's newspaper and website. Career advice, information, resources and production info. Casting notices for subscribers.
PlaybillPublishers of theatre programs for Broadway shows, they also have a wonderful website with lots of info, articles and links to helpful sites.
The Players DirectoryA must for actors in Los Angeles. This book is gotten by most casting directors and is where to post pics, resume, contacts, etc. Now has a web component!
SpotlightA British version of a directory of actors. In use for 81 years, it is the first place to list. This is where actors publish their pics, CV's & contact information.
Premiere MagazineOne of the most popular film related magazines also has a very nice website. Latest news about upcoming and current films and profiles of actors.
American Theatre MagazineA publication of the Theatre Communications Group, this excellent magazine focuses on theatre issues and has lots of resources for theatre folk.
Theater MagazineThis is a wonderful magazine put out by Yale Drama School. Filled with great writing about the theater and theater arts. Some back issues available online.
NEEDNew England Entertainment Digest is an online and offline publication dedicated to news, articles, and stuff of interest to New England show biz people.
Center Stage MagazineCenter Stage is an online monthly magazine with bi-weekly and occasional news breaking updates. Generally focused on African-American media folks.
Acting MagazineOnline magazine site with articles, information, and resources. Updated fairly regularly, you can find some stuff of interest here.
Acting Midwest MagazineActing Midwest eZine is an on-line magazine geared towards movie and stage actors, crew and production companies in Indiana, Kentucky & Ohio.
Film and Video MagazineOnline magazine about producing film and video, with many helpful resources, articles and how-to's - part of the Studio Daily collection of websites
Movie Maker MagazineMovieMaker is the nation's leading magazine on the art and business of making movies. The most widely read magazine on independent film in the world.
Box Office GuruDatabase of box office statistics on motion pictures released from 1989 to the present, plus weekend preview and review. International grosses, monthly.
The Hollywood InterviewA very nice blog with interviews (as the name implies) and articles about the biz. Reviews, celebs, movie stars, directors, etc. Worth the visit.
